The challenge

BDRs lacked a clear basis for choosing which contacts to approach and how to develop a buying committee.

What we built

Alvar defined buying-role priorities and led classification, cohort analysis and a practical BDR playbook.

What changed

The team received a commercial priority model, prepared load files and guidance for putting the strategy to work.

Context and problem

One of three workstreams within the same LATAM RevOps program.

Latin America · Conversational AI platform

CRM contacts lacked buying roles and priorities. Alvar framed the problem around a commercial decision: whom BDRs should approach first and how the team should develop a buying committee.

What we built

Alvar’s strategic decisions

  • Connect buying roles to P1, P2 and P3 priorities.

  • Combine Python rules with AI-assisted review where ambiguity required judgment.

  • Test committee assumptions against historical data and revise the interpretation with a newer cohort.

  • Turn the model into load files, a BDR playbook and agent prompts.

Implementation

Around 300,000 contacts across 5+ source databases were classified in Spanish, English and Portuguese. The method combined Python rules, review of ambiguous records and a sample of confident classifications, with regression tests, backups and integrity checks.

Commercial Prioritization Strategy case study cover featuring Alvar Rodríguez.

Results and evidence

  • ~300K contacts classified across 5+ source databases.

  • 98% agreement on 102 hand-validated calibration cases.

  • Seven load files, a BDR playbook and agent prompts carried the model into practical outputs.

Relevance and PDF contents

Leadership value

Alvar connected commercial judgment, data work and team enablement under one owner. He also revised the recommendation when older cohorts distorted the interpretation.
